Following are some of my favorite links (in no particular order). While many relate to SQL Server, not all do. If you have a favorite that you’d like to share with me, please let me know with a comment below!

SQL Server Central is an awesome educational and community site for SQL Server run by my good friend, Steve Jones. It’s a central hub for the SQL Server Community for articles, forums, scripts, book reviews, and a daily newsletter sent to subscribers.

PASS Data Community Summit is a global community of data professionals with a free membership to gain access to peer-based technical content spanning architecture, data management, analytics, and professional development delivered in various online and in-person formats. Local chapters exist in many cities throughout the world! Here are the ones I have been involved with the most:

Conferences are a great way to network and to learn more. In addition to the annual PASS Data Community Summit, here are a few of my favorites:

Brent Ozar is a site containing a wealth of information, scripts, free tools, training material, and videos.

SQL Pictures is a site dedicated to photos of SQL Saturday, Summit, or chapter events.

Bonus!! A TON of free eBooks from Microsoft, RedGate, and SentryOne!

I also like to read various non-technical books, especially the gems from Cedar Fort Publishing. Check them out and find something you like!

  1. Unfortunately, I do not know how to access the settings that would disable that. I do apologize for the issue. I receive a TON of spam and I am sorry that you get afflicted with it as well. I will research it and enable it as soon as possible.
